What does the manufacturer's warranty cover?



Manufacturer's warranty covers defects in the assembly and components of the bicycle, the risk of damage during transport of bicycles sold on www.bikesport.bg. The bicycles will be referred to as the "Product" in the following parts of the warranty.


What period does the manufacturer's warranty cover?

Manufacturer's warranty is limited to a period of 2 (two) years from the date of purchase of the Product. It is applied only to the first registered owner of the Product. Transferring the Product from the first owner to another terminates this warranty.



The warranty for frames and forks can be extended to a period of 3 (three) years, in case the bicycle is registered online in the "Register your bicycle" section. The extended warranty will only apply to Products purchased and registered after 09.02.2015, provided that the online registration is done within 14 days of the purchase of the Product.



The manufacturer's warranty will be applied only if the maintenance requirements and rules are fulfilled in accordance to the manual instructions. The yearly maintenance has to be verified with a signature and a stamp. In case this procedure is not fulfilled, the warranty period is reduced from 3 (three) to 2 (two) years.



The warranty covers repaired or replaced Product for the remaining term of the original warranty, to the extent permitted by the law.



All guarantees assumed by law are limited to a maximum period of 3 (three) years (if an online registration of bicycle is made), respectively 2 (two) years, from the date of purchase of the Product, unless the law explicitly states a shorter period, and are limited to the first owner of the Product.





What will www.bikesport.bg do?

Bikesport will replace with a Product of similar kind and quality or repair any defective Product, or will refund your purchase price (your receipt from the purchase of the Product will serve as proof). The costs associated with the replacement of any non-defective parts are for the account and are paid by the owner of the Product. In such a case, you will be notified of the need to replace non-defective parts so that you can organize and prioritize your expenses.





What does the manufacturer's warranty not cover?



The warranty does not cover:

- rented out products;

- racing bicycles, bicycles intended for tests and demonstrations (demo bicycles);

- bicycles not completely assembled;

- damages caused by - accidents, negligence, improper treatment, misuse, improper use, improper assembly;

- damages caused by – non-compliance with the recommended conditions for maintenance and use;

- damage caused by - incorrect or improper maintenance or repairs carried out by anyone other than an official Bikesport representative;

- damages that occurred - due to the use of parts and accessories inconsistent with the Product and the modification of the Product



The warranty does not cover product components with a limited shelf life:

- tires (inner tubes and tyres);

- brake linings;

- V brake/brake pads;

- cores, capsules (metal, plastic);

- pedals;

- handlebar grips;

- chain;

- headlights;

- water bottle.



All Products come with an users' manual. Please carefully follow the instructions in the manual or those placed on the Product. To the extent permitted by law, consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable by this warranty.



How to make a claim under this warranty?



To make a warranty claim, your first step is to notify Bikesport of the claimed defect within the warranty period. Secondly, timely return the Product to Bikesport for inspection. Please contact customer service at www.bikesport.bg. All returned Products shall be accompanied by proof of purchase (usually the receipt). Otherwise, the warranty will not be recognized.





A copy of the Product Handover Protocol (you will find a blank on the back of the manual) will remain with Bikesport after acceptance and signature by the Product owner. It is mandatory to show the protocol when handing over a defective part in the event of a warranty claim, as well as proof of purchase, otherwise the warranty will not be recognized.





How do different state laws affect your rights under this warranty?

The warranty gives you specific rights, and you may have other rights that are specific to your country.
